 We offer our competition to dancers and upcoming choreographers as a learning tool for aspiring artists.

Artists in Action’s competition is a unique method to get very direct feedback on your personal style and technique. Each adjudicator will provide direct commentary on each step of your dance on a digital video for you to keep. It’s a great way to make dramatic improvements from beginners to professionals.

      Junior Senior Emerging Choreographers
      Age 12-15 yrs 16 + yrs 17 + yrs
      • All ages are based upon age as of Jan 1, 2015 (ID proof may be required)
      • for 2+ performers the average age is taken.  To reach the average age of an entry, add all the ages together and divide by the number of dancers in the entry. When averaging ages always ROUND TO THE LOWEST INTEGER. For example, if a routine averages to an age of 16.7, you would round down to 16, therefore the routine would compete in the 16 yr. old age category.
      • Emerging choreographers must have 3+ years of dance experience

      Routine choreography should be appropriate and entertaining for all audience members. Vulgar or suggestive material is defined as any movement or choreography implying something improper or indecent, appearing offensive or sexual in content, and/or relaying lewd or profane gestures or implications.
